But in about 40% cases of alopecia in children, the problem is not solved and it becomes a cause of concern for the parents. People are not even ready to accept this problem later on in their life and to accept it at the children age is quite impossible.

There are many types of hair loss in children:
  1. Tinea Capitis: It is the most common type of hair loss in children. It is more likely to affect boys in comparison to girls. The most common age group affected by this disease is three to ten years. This is a disease that can be transmitted from one infected child to another. It can be transmitted by common sharing of combs, brushes, pillows and hats. The fungus at the scalp causes falling hair.
  2. Alopecia Areata: This is also a common type of hair loss in children that leaves patches of bald scalp on the head. The patches on the head are mostly circular which are up to two inches in diameter. Stress and other related problems are the main causes of alopecia areata in children and hair fantastique is very successful in this hair problem.

Inappropriate handling of hair like incorrect combing and pulling hair can cause this hair loss. Then washing, hair drying, bleaching and tight hair styles can also lead to this problem of hair loss.
